Fommes is a platform to experiment a fumenist language. The \u2018fumeniste\u2019 aims to inject to our language the words and syntax that will allow us to express our identify and form our community in coherent with our values of gender equality.

It is inclusive language V. 3.0. It aims to provide a more extensive & user-friendly solution. It is the understanding, that if we aim to tackle all the discriminations and stereotype in our language, we need to go beyond inclusive language. We also need to make it user friendly, if we want it to last, it has to answer people needs - that is, simplify the communication, convey clearer and be eloquent.

Placing gender at the center of our discussion it very illogical to say the least. Semantically, and linguistically wise, it creates contradiction and structure inherent semantic deficiencies.. kind of problems that language should resolve rather than create.

Since language and culture are interrelated, this isn\u2019t only a technical problems. Our language discriminates against women and perpetuates gender stereotypes. As always it has consequences: it steers confusion, frustration and violence.

While a language is just sounds that represent a meaning, it is neutral. Yet, the manner that we use it isn't. It is a fact that gender discrimination are so deeply encoded in and constantly transmitted through language.

This means ridiculous moral, social, political and economical costs\u2026 which are totally avoidable. With very little we can gain so much.

That applies that the real question is not if but when the language is changed. The bad news, it requires some effort and thinking power. The good news, as gender is a pure fiction, it is also much simpler and quicker than one can imagine.

We assume that:

Word changes when a critical mass apply it. They apply it if it simplifies their communication and better expresses their values vision of the world.

People are cautious or even fearful about a change being imposed upon them. Yet, people don\u2019t resist a change that they believe is in their best interests.

The fumenist drastically improves every aspect of our live.

Accordingly, our mission is to stimulate the what and why? Raise awareness to make you burn with motivation, awareness and conviction to climb this mountain. Creativity thrives when you decide how to climb the mountain.

As the information exists our role is to serve make it accessible and captivating. Informing people that regardless their gender they are affected by the cause and how to fumenist would make them better off.

When people feel concerned they are motivated to engage their surroundings. When a critical mass experiment the fumenist it offer a dynamics of exchange and creativity. The solution, then is just around the corner.
