equality, wtf
Before we consider if man and woman are equal, it might be useful to clarify what equal is.
There is a physical equality and moral equality.
the physical equality refer to objects in along the space time and ask if they share a common attribute/s and/if they are the same entity. 12 years old scotch and 18 years old scotch. The football at my room yesterday and today. When we ask if two objects are equal, our premise is that they are different. Even if they are totally the same they still appear in different part of the space. , at least that they that they arearen't one entity. we ask if they are of a same type, same category, same trait. Thus, we state that they are not the same object.
Being equal means these objects have a common element, or elements, even i they are different.
The red flower and the purple flower, are both belong to the group of flowers.
Say 30$=25\u20ac means that different currencies have the same value.
What does it mean then equal people.
To start with all people are different. Physically, psychically, they share different space and time. What does make them equal then? In which sense they are the same?
As in objecte they can can be the same by a attribute they have or an a right they receive.
Ex for same atribute: They can be of the same family, of the same origin, same eyes color.
This refers to a physical attribute that is forced upon them (at the moment of comparison).
Ex for right - liberty, equality, voting, paying taxes (right can be also negative).
An attribute cannot be applied to all human, as they are physically different.
A right however can because it is a value, it isn\u2019t real. It doesn\u2019t exist in reality but is imposed upon it by us.
Gender equality is complex not because it is hard because we tend to interchange gender and sex and ignore their aren\u2019t the same.
Sex applies to the genital form - Female or Male.
Gender - is the value we provide to this physical attribute. Here the value means the cultural role, the permissions, the expectations and vision we have from it, what ideal it represents or should represent.
Not all languages have this distinction. French, consider by its academy to be universal, doesn\u2019t have this distinction.
Hebrew, considered by some as sacred, has this distinctions though they are blurred. Most often than not, the gender terms are used for both gender and sex, as the sex terms are considered to be very sterile.
