While swearing have very bad connotations scientifically studies show mostly swear words are not problematic. Actually, most public uses of taboo words are not in anger; they are innocuous or produce positive consequences (e.g., humor elicitation).

Linguistically wise, swear words can achieve a number of outcomes, as when used positively for joking or storytelling, stress management, fitting in with the crowd, or as a substitute for physical aggression. Recent work by Stephens et al. even shows that swearing is associated with enhanced pain tolerance. This finding suggests swearing has a cathartic effect, which many of us may have personally experienced in frustration or in response to pain.

Despite this empirical evidence, the positive consequences of swearing are commonly disregarded in the media. Changing a language, doesn't mean a cancel culture. rather a subtle, detailed oriented process that is done with a paint brush rather than an axe.

One may wonder why swearing isn't harmful but gender biased language is? It is all about the context these words are carried and the impact they have on other. furthermore, swear words are clearly 'taboo', abusive language hides the damage. Accordingly, when swear words are said in social friendly circles one clearly doesn't try to abuse.

Son of beach - in a non-offensive context - doesn't refer to the person's mother, it rather say, 'crazy', 'how did you make it', 'well done, little buster'.

Yet, the reference to the female body isn't carried with the concern to protect the female sacred body but rather to suggest it is a male's property. Actually qualifies the dignity of the her males family members by their capacity to ensure that only authorized family member can access her genitals organs. That it defines her as their property.

This also propagates a stereotype on female sexuality and body. Which isn't the case for males to start with.

Since the mother of the son to which we speak isn't the essential to vehicle the meaning in that given context, placing it is a win-win situation.

It also provides the speaker with some eloquence and class. It forms a speech that is 'dirty' and rich at the same time by condensing several speech layers in one expression.
