Semantically, and linguistically wise, it creates contradiction and structure inherent semantic deficiencies.. kind of problems that language should resolve rather than create. Since language and culture are interrelated, this isn\u2019t only a technical problems. Our language discriminates against women and perpetuates gender stereotypes. As always it has consequences: it steers confusion, frustration and violence. While a language is just sounds that represent a meaning, it is neutral. Yet, the manner that we use it isn't. It is a fact that gender discrimination are so deeply encoded in and constantly transmitted through language. This means ridiculous moral, social, political and economical costs\u2026 which are totally avoidable. With very little we can gain so much. That applies that the real question is not if but when the language is changed. The bad news, it requires some effort and thinking power. The good news, as gender is a pure fiction, it is also much simpler and quicker than one can imagine. We assume that: Word changes when a critical mass apply it. They apply it if it simplifies their communication and better expresses their values vision of the world. People are cautious or even fearful about a change being imposed upon them. Yet, people don\u2019t resist a change that they believe is in their best interests. The fumenist drastically improves every aspect of our live.
